1.1 The Chair welcomed the Members to the Committee.
1.2 Apologies were received from Adam Price AM.
2.1 The papers were noted subject to the following actions:
· The Committee agreed to defer the next scheduled update on Radiology Services until the end of 2019;
· The Committee agreed to defer the final update on Community Safety in Wales until spring 2020, following the conclusion of the programme in March 2020;
· The Committee asked that clarification was sought on the Turnaround Director role at BCUHB; and
· The Committee will respond to the letter from the Future Generations Commissioner.
3.1 The motion was agreed.
4.1 The Committee noted the correspondence and it was agreed the Chair will write to the Welsh Government seeking further clarification on a number of issues. On receipt, the Committee will prepare its draft report.
5.1 The Auditor General for Wales briefed the Members on this report.
5.2 Members agreed to undertake an inquiry into the effectiveness of local planning authorities in Wales in the new year. The Committee noted the forthcoming reports on how local authorities are implementing their new responsibilities under the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014 (report published September 2019); and the new duties placed on them and their partners by the Violence Against Women Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (Wales) Act 2015 (report scheduled to be published November 2019) and will take into account as part of a themed inquiry in the new year.
6.1 The Auditor General for Wales briefed the Members on this report.
6.2 Members agreed to maintain a watching brief on this issue and return to it early in the new year.
